Hunger Games- four 1/2 action hearts

I read the books by ​Suzanne Collins and was mesmerised from the start. It is an epic tale of deprivation, vast divides and death. To punish the revolting districts, the governing state decrees an annual game where pairs are taken from each district to the capital to participate in highly publicised games to the death. There can be only one winner. 

To the rich hordes of the capital, it is a game where some will sponsor their favourite warrior and everyone bets on the winners and losers. It is a bloodthirsty game and the modern equivalent of the gladiators arena.​

Naturally Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence for which she won the oscar), our heroine, must fight the odds to win. Spoiler alert!!! I can tell you she does as we all know there's a sequel!

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth, it's well worth the watch. Intense action is balanced with great performances from Lawrence and Hutcherson which drag you into the story and their world.
