Limitless - four 1/2 thriller hearts

Limitless took me by surprise. It is a powerfully told story with brilliant directing, cinematography and editing. Starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish it whisks you away to where the impossible can become reality. It asks you to believe that anything can happen if you just 'open your mind'.

Failing writer Eddie (the delicious Cooper),​ is a mess and can't even deliver on his deadline.  Enter a little white pill and suddenly Eddie is more than a genius. His world is opened a thousandfold and he writes a new, best seller in just a few days.

Seeing potential everywhere, he boldly strikes Wall Street and enter the archetypal brutal businessman, De Niro and trouble's not far behind. When the pill begins to cause problems for his broadened mind, Eddie starts to panic. Is everything he earned about to be washed away with the drug's nasty side effects?

It's exciting to watch and the cast provide a slam dunk thriller.
